How To Style A Garden Room

Updated: May 19, 2021

A beautiful bespoke garden building is a brilliant way to give yourself more living space at

home and, when styled and designed appropriately, they can be a very luxurious addition

indeed.

It’s advisable to sit down and think about how you intend to use the space before you spend any money, as this will help inform all sorts of other decisions you have to make, as well as helping you to devise a realistic budget for the project.

People have turned their garden rooms into all sorts of interesting spaces over the years, everything from glamorous she-sheds and man caves to at-home offices, pubs and bars, library rooms, tea rooms, gyms, an in-law apartment… the only limit is your imagination!

If you’re keen to help your new space blend into your actual garden, you could have a lot of fun putting a living roof together, which will help to soften the look of the space and really make it feel as though it’s a part of the garden itself.

Location is also absolutely key when it comes to these rooms, so head outside to see where the shaded parts of your garden are and which way the sun comes up, so you can design the build to maximise the amount of natural light you have to play with.

While outside, take the time to measure the space you have available for your new room,

leaving at least half a metre around the entire building so you’re covered for your roof overhang, as well as any maintenance work that may be required in the future. If you’d like any further help or advice, get in touch with us today.
